Sabre Hospitality Launches SynXis Pay to Enhance Payment Processes for Hoteliers

Sabre Hospitality's new offering, SynXis Pay, aims to simplify payment experiences for travelers and streamline operations for hotels.

Sabre Hospitality has recently announced the launch of SynXis Pay, a new solution designed to address payment issues faced by both travelers and hotel operators.

With SynXis Pay, travelers gain access to over 250 alternative payment methods such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and WeChat Pay, enhancing their checkout experience on hotel websites. An express checkout feature is also available when opting for Apple Pay or Google Pay within the SynXis Booking Engine.

From the hotel perspective, SynXis Pay simplifies managing various payment types. Powered by CellPoint Digital, this solution streamlines global payment acceptance by linking multiple payment gateways and adjusting payment methods based on the guest’s location. This allows hotels to manage payouts in local currency, reducing foreign exchange risks and easing reconciliation. Furthermore, an improved guest experience can lead to higher conversion rates.

Juan Abello, Vice President of Product Management at Sabre Hospitality, stated, “At Sabre Hospitality, we love to solve complex travel challenges in ways that benefit both our customers and travellers. SynXis Pay is a prime example of that mission, offering travellers the flexibility and personalization they desire, while simplifying the resulting output and payout for our hoteliers. For some time, both sides of hospitality transactions have been hungry for improved payment processes. This is the truest definition of a ‘win-win’ scenario.”

The rollout of SynXis Pay will occur in phases over the upcoming months.
