Akasa Air has initiated daily direct flights connecting Bengaluru and Ahmedabad with Abu Dhabi under a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways, boosting travel between India and the UAE.

The inaugural flight from Bengaluru departed on March 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM IST, landing in Abu Dhabi at 12:35 PM AST. The first flight from Ahmedabad is scheduled to leave at 10:45 PM IST, reaching Abu Dhabi by 1:00 AM AST on March 2.

This service adds to Akasa Air’s existing route between Mumbai and Abu Dhabi, which commenced in July 2024, making it a total of 21 weekly flights to Abu Dhabi from three major Indian cities.

During a ceremony at Kempegowda International Airport to mark the inaugural flight, a special boarding pass was presented to the first passenger. Neelu Khatri, Co-Founder and SVP International at Akasa Air, expressed her excitement over the new route, emphasizing its importance in strengthening ties between the two nations.
