When flying long-haul from the UK, many travelers prefer American airlines over British Airways. Recent feedback suggests that almost any option is more appealing than the British carrier’s economy service.
In a survey by Which? Magazine, British Airways scored poorly against its American competitors, ranking lowest among the legacy carriers.
British Airways Scores 62% in Customer Satisfaction
The magazine gathered passenger reviews from over 9,000 flights to assess the best and worst airlines. Singapore Airlines topped the list with a score of 81%, while British Airways fell short with a score of 62%, tying with Air Canada.
Among U.S. airlines, both Delta and United received a customer satisfaction score of 72%. American Airlines scored 65%, placing British Airways near the bottom.
In the realm of domestic flights, British Airways scored only 57%, outperforming just a few airlines. The airline’s representative stated they are investing significantly in improvements but still lag behind competitors.
Negative feedback is not new for British Airways, especially following their changes to the loyalty program, which have been met with criticism on FlyerTalk forums.
