The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) showcased its presence at the ASTINDO Travel Fair in Jakarta, Indonesia, from February 20 to February 23, 2025.
Macanese officials introduced a group from Macao’s integrated resort sector and airlines, including the popular tourism mascot, MAK MAK. They presented a grand Macao Pavilion, featuring elements that celebrated the region’s unique tourism experiences, aimed at attracting Indonesian and Southeast Asian visitors.
The pavilion, reflecting a Sino-Portuguese aesthetic, displayed Macao’s UNESCO World Heritage sites, highlighted its status as a Creative City of Gastronomy, and showcased various leisure travel opportunities.
MGTO organized four engaging sessions, spotlighting the destination while entertaining attendees with traditional lion dance and Portuguese folk dance performances. In partnership with local enterprises, they also sold Macao tourism products to inspire future visits.
The ASTINDO Travel Fair is one of Indonesia’s largest consumer travel events, showcasing numerous travel destinations and providers. With their participation, MGTO seeks to elevate Macao’s recognition as a prominent international destination and boost visitor arrivals from Indonesia and beyond.
