The recent review analyzes 33.7 million business travel bookings recorded from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2024, with an impressive total transactional value of £16.5 billion. Key findings include that new transactions in 2024 are predicted to rise by 15.5% compared to 2023, with average trip durations decreasing markedly from 6.9 days in 2023 to 4.6 days in 2024.
Looking toward the future, the business travel sector appears optimistic amid significant economic pressures, such as inflation and fluctuating currency rates. Predictions suggest a growth of 8-11% in year-on-year metrics. Despite possible challenges, the overall confidence in the market remains strong.
