Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay has been awarded a five-star sustainability rating under the Sustainable Tourism Acceleration Rating (STAR) initiative by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). This recognition aligns with the resort’s commitment to meeting all 17 Sustainable Tourism Goals set by TAT.
Dominic Egger, the resort’s general manager and director of operations in Thailand, stated, “This recognition demonstrates our full commitment to sustainability and the significant progress we’ve made in creating a responsible tourism model. Our passionate team has implemented impactful initiatives that not only benefit our guests but also the local community and environment.”

Sustainability Initiatives Implemented

- Implementing a digital guest communication system.
- Establishing an organic orchard and garden for onsite dining.
- Introducing a composting program for food waste.
- Providing an electric vehicle charging station.
- Partnering with Scholars of Sustenance Thailand to donate excess food.
