American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) has announced an advanced agreement to augment and expedite the availability of new distribution capability (NDC) fares in collaboration with Lufthansa Group (LHG).

Amex GBT has been a trailblazer in NDC implementation in corporate travel for over five years. In 2019, it became the first travel management company (TMC) to connect to global distribution systems (GDSs) for online NDC content.

Currently, Amex GBT supports over 20 carriers in its NDC program, offering this content to more than 15,000 customers, with NDC sales expected to reach hundreds of millions of dollars in 2024 across 16 countries.

The partnership with Lufthansa Group has experienced remarkable growth, providing NDC-enabled content to Amex GBT customers across various European nations, producing millions in NDC sales in 2024. The renewed agreement will facilitate faster availability of NDC content on Amex GBT’s platforms, with exclusive offers from Lufthansa, Swiss International Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Austrian Airlines, and Discover Airlines.
