Minor Hotels, in alliance with its Chinese partner, Funyard Minor, is set to open the Anantara Thousand Island Lake Resort along Qiandao Lake in Hangzhou, China in October 2027. The 160-key resort promises to enhance the area’s appeal to tourists with its scenic beauty and rich heritage.
The resort spans 36,000 square meters and aims to immerse guests in the picturesque environment around the lake, alongside offering cultural experiences tied to the area’s history as a Silk Road trading hub. The property will cater to various visitor needs, featuring accommodations from 62 to 340 square meters, in addition to multiple dining options and recreational facilities.
Eddy Tiftik, Vice President of Development for Greater China at Minor Hotels, expressed enthusiasm about this project: “We are honored to collaborate with YouChao International Tourism Hotel Co. Ltd. to bring Anantara to Qiandao Lake.”
Tang Wenyi, Chairman of YouChao, remarked, “We look forward to working closely with Minor Hotels to promote the development of the hotel industry in the area.”
The resort will be conveniently located just 22 kilometers from Qiandaohu Railway Station and 150 kilometers from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. Minor Hotels currently operates four properties in China and aims to expand to 15 hotels within the next three years.
