Emirates and Garuda Indonesia Strengthen Alliance with New Loyalty Offer

Emirates and Garuda Indonesia unite to enhance frequent flyer benefits, enabling Miles earning and spending across 200 destinations.

Emirates and Garuda Indonesia have Unleashed a New Loyalty Partnership

Emirates Skywards and GarudaMiles members can now earn and redeem Miles while traveling across a combined network of more than 200 destinations.

The two airlines initially collaborated under a codeshare agreement in 2022, which has now expanded to enhance their loyalty offerings, giving members access to more destinations, greater Miles earning potential, and richer rewards.

The agreement was finalized during the Aviation Festival Asia 2025 by Dr. Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President Emirates Skywards, and Wamildan Tsani Panjaitan, Miles & Ancillary Group Head Garuda Indonesia.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President, commented:

“At Emirates Skywards, we’re constantly looking for ways to present more options and value for our members. This innovative partnership with Garuda Indonesia will yield substantial benefits for both Skywards and GarudaMiles members.”
“This collaboration aligns with our vision of creating a truly global loyalty experience for our members internationally.”

Wamildan Tsani Panjaitan stated:

“We are excited to introduce this value-enhanced partnership for both carriers’ loyal passengers. This initiative will provide plentiful opportunities for members to earn and spend Miles seamlessly across both networks.”
“It will unveil new destinations for our members, specifically enabling Skywards members to experience Indonesia’s rich cultural landscape through Garuda Indonesia’s domestic flights.”

Benefits of the Partnership:

  1. Earn and Redeem: Collect and use Miles while traveling with Garuda Indonesia, which covers 37 destinations in its archipelago and over 15 international destinations.
  2. Miles Earnings: Members can earn up to 2 Skywards Miles per mile flown in First Class.
  3. Redemption Options: Start redeeming Miles on Garuda Indonesia flights from 8,000 Miles.
  4. Dual Rewards: GarudaMiles members will also be able to earn and spend Miles within Emirates’ extensive global network.
