Become Part of Cunard's Ocean Travel Exhibit

Join Cunard in celebrating its 185-year history by sharing your unforgettable ocean travel memories for a unique exhibition.

In today’s digital age, the fear of losing cherished memories is growing. A recent survey by Cunard reveals that while individuals snap an astonishing 265 billion photos annually in the UK and U.S., only 3% get printed. Alarmingly, 72% fear that without printing, future generations may not access their visual legacies.

To celebrate its 185 years of ocean travel, Cunard is tackling this memory gap with a call to the public to participate in a global exhibition curated by renowned photographer Mary McCartney. The ‘Sea of Glamour’ exhibition, launching this May at the Liver Building in Liverpool, aims to showcase nearly two centuries of iconic moments on its ships.

From Hollywood icons to historical figures, Cunard’s vast archives are rich with fascinating imagery, and they invite everyone—guests, crew, and celebrities—to contribute their unforgettable moments onboard.

As Siân Wilks, Archivist at the University of Liverpool Library, states: “The Cunard archive is an incredible collection that captures the brand’s rich history, making it accessible to all.” On the opening day, Mary McCartney will personally take the final photograph, featuring Queen Anne’s Icons in Liverpool.

In the words of Katie McAlister, Cunard’s President: “By sharing your experiences, you’ll help create an exhibition that brings Cunard’s history to life for everyone to enjoy.”

Don’t miss this unique chance to immortalize your memories! Submit your favorite moments by March 9, 2025, and your photo could be featured globally. For further information and participation details, visit www.cunard.com/seaofglamour or email [email protected].
