Morocco Launches Inaugural Roadshow in Beijing

Morocco initiated its first roadshow in Beijing to enhance tourism connections with China, featuring a delegation from the Moroccan tourism sector.

Overview

The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) commenced its inaugural roadshow in Beijing to fortify touristic relations between Morocco and China. This event gathered a significant delegation including luxury hotels and travel agencies from Morocco, with about 100 professionals from China’s tourism sector in attendance.

Objectives of the Roadshow

Morocco aims to penetrate the Chinese market further, following the introduction of direct flights from Beijing and Shanghai to Morocco last January. Hicham Bellaziz, the ONMT’s chief representative in China, indicated that these new routes could increase the number of Chinese visitors to Morocco by approximately 100,000 by 2025, targeting a total of around 250,000.

Looking Ahead

The roadshow will advance to Shanghai shortly, continuing its focus to enhance Morocco’s visibility in the Chinese tourism sector. Bellaziz affirmed ONMT’s commitment to collaborating with China’s tourism industry, poised to welcome a growing number of Chinese tourists with a diverse range of offerings.
