
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye and the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) emphasize the importance of the Indian market, showcasing their significant presence at SATTE 2025, South Asia’s premier travel and tourism exhibition.
The event occurs at the state-of-the-art Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Expo Centre) in New Delhi. Firat Sunel, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to India, welcomed visitors at the GoTurkiye Pavilion, highlighting the strong tourism ties between Türkiye and India.
The Turkish delegation, led by Basak Onsal Demir, showcased the country’s tourism achievements and diverse offerings through an innovative display featuring around 20 companies.
In 2024, Türkiye welcomed 62.2 million international visitors, marking a 9.8% year-on-year growth. Indian visitors surged by 20.7% compared to the previous year, showcasing the increasing appeal of Turkish destinations among Indian travelers.
Ambassador Sunel stated, “India represents one of our most dynamic and fastest-growing source markets.” He noted that Türkiye’s tourism revenue peaked at 61.1 billion USD in 2024, with an impressive visitor spending average of USD 972. This participation at SATTE 2025 aims to maintain the momentum and present Türkiye’s unique blend of historical heritage and modern attractions.
The Turkish pavilion has attracted significant attention from travel professionals, focusing on luxury tourism and bespoke travel experiences, particularly resonating with Indian visitors. The delegation will continue to engage with travel professionals until February 21st at Booth B54.
