Hong Kong Airlines has announced the launch of a new direct service to Sydney, Australia, which is set to commence on 20 June 2025. This expansion makes Hong Kong Airlines the second carrier from Hong Kong to operate on this desired route, thereby providing greater convenience and enhancing market competition.

To commemorate this significant milestone, a signing ceremony was conducted at Sydney Airport with officials from Hong Kong Airlines, Sydney Airport, the Chinese Consulate General in Sydney, and local government representatives in attendance.
