Experiencing Luxury on Dark Island: A Floating Paradise

Dark Island, a new luxury cruise ship, boasts unrivaled opulence with its 236 ultra-luxury suites and environmentally sustainable design.

Dark Island is the dream of global citizens, envisioned by the renowned Scottish firm, Clydebuilt. This magnificent cruise ship offers 236 ultra-luxury residential suites designed for an extraordinary living experience on the seas. However, this dream comes at a cost, as the price of these lavish suites is reflective of their exclusive nature and grandeur.

A Vision Realised

The planning of Dark Island began in 2019, focusing on environmental sustainability and longevity, with the aim for it to last at least 50 years, far exceeding the average lifespan of 30 years for most passenger ships.

Luxurious Living

Initially, the plan was to sell 101 suites on an 8-deck ship. Now, the design has expanded to 12 decks with 236 suites accommodating 724 residents and 540 crew members, including a butler service for a high-end hotel experience.

Size and Scale

Dark Island will boast a gross tonnage of 89,750 and will measure 748 feet long, effectively twice the length of a football field. While it was initially set to sail in late 2025, its maiden voyage is now postponed to 2028.

Maiden Voyage

The detailed itinerary for the first voyage remains under wraps, but it is predicted to be an 800-day world cruise, promising a peaceful retreat filled with breathtaking views by day and starry skies by night.

Enriching Activities

The cruise offers numerous activities from art and cooking classes to Pilates and a comprehensive library. Entertainment will include musical productions and guest lecturers.

Accessibility and Flexibility

Residents will have the ability to fly to and from Dark Island at their convenience and can invite family or friends for both short visits and extended stays.

Unique Exploration

The cruise includes an on-board helicopter for aerial tours and water exploration vehicles for snorkeling and diving adventures.

Customisation and Ownership

There are various suite options available, with sizes from 420.6 ft² to 2,690 ft², all featuring sea views and customizable interiors.

Yearly Service Fee

Owners will pay a yearly fee covering everything from Wi-Fi to meals and select beverages at their chosen restaurant.

Rental Opportunities

Suite owners can rent out their spaces, with a minimum rental period of six months, allowing friends and family to enjoy short stays.
