Eaton HK to Highlight Hong Kong's Artistic Diversity in March
Eaton HK will celebrate Hong Kong’s dynamic art scene this March as part of Art Basel Hong Kong 2025, featuring a series of engaging events and exhibitions.
Eaton HK’s diverse art programming will be celebrated in March, coinciding with Hong Kong art month, as it collaborates with the community and hosts Tomorrow Maybe, a gallery, as a Cultural Partner for Art Basel Hong Kong 2025.
In addition to showcasing the gallery at the main exhibition, Eaton HK will organize annual Eaton Art Month programming from March 20th to April 21st. With its vibrant cultural offerings in Kowloon, Eaton HK is set to inspire art enthusiasts and the general public with a series of exciting events.
Asian Futurity as the Theme
This year’s theme, ‘Asian Futurity,’ will explore moving images and performance art, providing an imaginative focus on Asian and local artistic contexts.
The events kick off with Thai artist Chulayarnnon Siriphol’s series, ‘The Golden Snail,’ showcased at the in-house gallery Tomorrow Maybe for one month.
During his residency, Siriphol will facilitate guided tours, meet-and-greet sessions, and film screenings to offer a fully immersive experience.
The artist is known for utilizing moving images and combining them with his physicality as his main forms of artistic expression. His works include experimental films, documentaries, and video installations that critique contemporary issues with sharp sarcasm.
Curated by Eaton HK’s cultural director Joseph Chen, the ‘Golden Snail Series’ will include videos, prints, and sculptures that reinterpret narratives related to the golden snail.
Spotlighting HOLOK Chen
As part of Art Basel Hong Kong 2025, Tomorrow Maybe will feature a solo exhibition by HOLOK Chen from March 28th to 30th. This exhibition will delve into themes of precariousness and identity, enhanced by an immersive performance and in-depth discussions during the event.
Eaton HK will also showcase a documentary titled ‘In the Mood for Art,’ highlighting Hong Kong’s evolving cultural landscape post the establishment of the M+ Museum.
The event intends to reflect on Hong Kong’s vibrant artistic future, engaging audiences with interactive workshops led by various artists, including Jas Lin, who will guide participants through movement and meditation exercises.
