Saudi Arabia Initiates 18,000 Development Projects Aligned with Vision 2030

Saudi Arabia plans a massive undertaking of nearly 18,000 projects within its Vision 2030 framework, significantly impacting infrastructure and airport development.

Nearly 18,000 projects are expected to be initiated in Saudi Arabia in the coming years as part of the transformative economic plan known as Vision 2030.

The Saudi Contractors’ Authority (SCA) indicates that these projects, valued in the trillions of riyals, will encompass multiple sectors such as infrastructure, roads, energy, and airports.

Mohammed Al-Ajlan, Chairman of SCA, stated, “The construction sector in Saudi Arabia is experiencing a golden era… we anticipate an annual growth of about 5% until 2030,” during an interview with the Saudi newspaper Al-Madina.

Al-Ajlan added that there has been increased interest from foreign firms keen to capitalize on the burgeoning demand for domestic projects, and emphasized, “The Saudi market now needs to forge significant partnerships with foreign companies, given that certain projects require specialized knowledge and advanced foreign technology.”
