
Oman Air Achieves Record Seat Load Factor of 88%
Oman Air has reached an unprecedented total load factor of 88% for January 2025, outpacing the global average.
Oman Air has achieved its highest total load factor at 88% in January 2025. Out of the 41 destinations served last month, some reported load factors as high as 95%. The airline’s performance surpassed the global average of 83.5% for 2024, as reported by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Business Class seats also saw an impressive occupancy of 77%. The airline is ramping up its market share to attract tourists to Oman, aligning with the country’s economic objectives.
CEO Con Korfiatis stated, “We’re extremely proud of this record load factor, which reflects the strength of our network and confirms the effectiveness of the changes made in our operations. We are looking at a promising summer season with strong booking momentum and aim to sustain this growth by providing excellent service and more travel options.”
Oman Air is undergoing a major transformation initiated in 2023, targeting financial stability within three years. The airline recently shared its performance highlights for 2024, showcasing advancements in network efficiency, profitability, and fleet modernization.
