Thomas Cook India Collaborates With Uttarakhand for Eco-Friendly Initiative
The partnership promotes environmental sustainability at the National Games 2025 by planting trees and extending ecological awareness.
Thomas Cook (India) Limited has recently teamed up with the Uttarakhand Government to launch an innovative ‘Green Games’ initiative during the National Games 2025.
This initiative includes the planting of over 1,600 Rudraksha trees, honoring the winning athletes, in a vast 2.77-hectare Sports Forest (Khel Van) near Maharana Pratap Sports College. Additionally, athletes received Gulmohar tree seeds to plant in their home regions, spreading the initiative’s impact across India.
The event, which took place on February 12, 2025, was attended by key figures including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal, and P.T. Usha, President of the Indian Olympic Association. Rajeev Kale, representing Thomas Cook India, expressed gratitude for the collaboration and highlighted its significance for both the environment and the athletes.
“Thomas Cook India is honoured to partner with the Uttarakhand Government for the pioneering Green Games initiative. We are proud to go beyond logistics and operations to champion a cause that will leave a lasting impact.”
