KTO Launches Travel Agency Initiative in Mumbai

Korea Tourism Organization debuted its Designated Travel Agency Program in partnership with OTOAI at a Mumbai event, aiming to bolster tourism from India to South Korea.

Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) introduced the Designated Travel Agency Program as part of its K-Incentive Scheme 3.0 during a recent roadshow in Mumbai, collaborating with the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI).

This initiative aims to recognize and support travel agencies promoting South Korea. Agencies involved will develop travel packages highlighting multiple destinations beyond Seoul.

Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director – India & SAARC Countries, KTO, noted: “The growing interest of Indian travelers in South Korea reflects our strong ties with Indian tour operators.”

During the event, Himanshu Patil, President of OTOAI, remarked: “Our partnership with KTO is crucial for enhancing outbound tourism from India, especially with increasing interest in Korean culture and experiences.”

KTO aims to attract 250,000 Indian travelers in 2025, having seen a 44% increase in Indian visitors in 2024.
