Noteworthy facts include that SEA’s first international airline was Japan Airlines in 1959, and now it hosts 25 international carriers with routes to 33 global destinations.

Flight Arrival

The arrival of China Airlines’ first passenger flight is particularly significant as it expands SEA’s connections to Asia, marking the airline’s debut passenger service to the U.S. Pacific Northwest.

Overall, this milestone not only celebrates the airport’s rich history but also enhances its status as a global travel hub.
